End of March beginning of April, CS Cargo Group launched negotiations with selected subjects in the rail sector. "Our group is looking at the transportation market development within the Czech and European context, where the current program priorities of some European governments are to support and strengthen various forms of combined transportation. Therefore, C.S. Cargo in order to keep up with these prevailing trends on the market, decided to engage more actively in the segment of intermodal transport than before," said Jiri Zrust CEO of CS Cargo group.
According to Jiri Zrust CS Cargo should get more involved the rail transportation into their logistic routes and actively seek opportunities to implement joint projects with major rail cargo operators, particularly the use of active terminals, Ro-La and development of rail freight forwarding following up the companys current projects. The subject of potential future cooperation should also be a joint offer for the use of combined transportation and strategically located terminals. "We believe that the combined transportation will further strengthen our position on market and expand already broad portfolio of our services. The project should be started during the next few weeks," said Jiri Zrust.
